HIGGS premiere @ IDFA

Higgs, into the Heart of Imagination is a documentary about the quest for the Higgs particle, also known as "The God Particle." It is considered the missing link in particle physics. Higgs is a film about the curiosity, the passion, and the imaginative power of science. A cinematic journey into the heart of imagination.

Higgs follows Professor Stan Bentvelsen, head of the Dutch research group at CERN. We watch as he prepares his team for the start of the experiment and the scientific competition to be the first to find the Higgs particle. Meanwhile, international scientists explain what a Higgs particle really is. And Peter Higgs, the Scottish physicist for whom the particle is named, talks about how he made his pioneer discovery back in 1964.

November 20th, Higgs will have it's premiere at IDFA 2009.
